Lighthouse

Ages ago I settled down here
After swimming to the seabed and back
Quiet like a ghost, watching from the coast
Fixed to the ground under clouds dressed in black

I was born to rise from this land
This light is the strongest I have
Telling you when you ought to go ashore
Brave like sailors that never come back

I’m the lighthouse, I’m the light
Telling these boats where to sink
But you’re the wolf, oh, you’re the wolf
You’re blowing theses houses away
Blowing them away

You’re blowing them away

Huffed and puffed and gone was my world
Giving birth to hurricanes and storms
These waves have been sailed way to many times
The skyline is the answer that always keeps us warm

We became so stoned on the wind
Tipped over by its sound
Nothing to save, nowhere to escape
Made us sink further on down

I’m the lighthouse, I’m the light
Telling these boats where to sink
But you’re the wolf, oh, you’re the wolf
You’re blowing theses houses away
Blowing them away

You’re blowing them away
